Nepal’s labour law includes provisions for various worker-related issues, such as Occupational Safety and Health. However, not all workers have been able to fully benefit from these rights.

To address this gap, the ILO has implemented the Occupational Safety and Health for All project in collaboration with workers' and employers' organisations. The project aims to educate workers in the tea and cardamom sectors about their right to a safe and healthy working environment, advocate for the establishment of occupational safety and health committees, and raise awareness about their responsibilities. This ensures that workers are not only informed but also empowered to fulfil these responsibilities, particularly at the Sattighat Tea Estate in Jhapa district.
