Apollo TeleHealth - Tele Emergency Project at Himachal Pradesh

The Himachal Pradesh - THS program is first of its kind health care service delivery innovation in India. This program provides much-needed emergency, specialty, and super-specialty consultation services to 4 different locations at 14,500 feet above sea level in the Himalayan mountain range. Established initially as a proof of concept, the technology-enabled service delivery model is now a time-tested program. The program has been rendering remote health care services for the last 4 years and is being implemented by Apollo TeleHealth.

The program allows patients to get remote video conference-based consultations supported by online, real-time, and remote peripheral diagnostics. This program links Emergency & Specialty experts from Apollo hospitals with the Regional hospital in Keylong, Community Health Centres in Kaza, and Civil Hospital in Pangi using dedicated Satellite bandwidth connectivity. Preventive health care services like Cervical cancer screening under the supervision of obstetrician and gynaecologist from Apollo Hospitals are also being provided.
