Anura Kumara Dissanayake is a Sri Lankan politician and the leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) or People's Liberation Front, a leftist political party in Sri Lanka. He has been a Member of Parliament since 2000.

Born on November 24, 1968, in Kegalle District, Dissanayake graduated from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura with a degree in Sociology.
