The Industrial Maintenance Technician class teaches students the skills necessary for installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machinery in various types of manufacturing operations. Enrollees will learn the repair, fabrication, and preventative maintenance skills needed to keep equipment and machinery operating at peak performance, eliminating costly down-time.
The three semester program, taught on the main Chattanooga State campus, features both theory and hands-on opportunities in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical maintenance, electricity, and programmable logical control; all of which are necessary for a successful career in the maintenance field.
Graduates of the program will be able to install, fabricate, maintain and troubleshoot for:
• Industrial mechanical drives
• Fluid power systems
• Industrial electrical control systems
• And Process logical control systems
