Today we’re discussing the Breguet La Tradition Automatique Seconde Retrograde 7097. This is the perfectly sized watch in a 40 mm case in 18k white gold. It is the perfect definition of a round watch and is wonderfully slim. It slides easily under a tight cuff even though the watch is 12 mm thick.

The watch is 50 mm from lug to lug and can be worn on a wrist as small as 14 cm in circumference.

The front and back of the watch are mostly comprised of sapphire so it is light and airy. The feel of the watch is satisfying even though it is lighter than a typical metal watch.

It features a substantial folded strap held on by screws. The strap is a beautiful black, minimally bolstered, slim strap paired with a vintage evocative Breguet white gold pin buckle, all of high polish.

All of the Breguet signatures are respected. This is the flagship of the Swatch group.

This watch is the 2015 10th anniversary evolution, featuring an automatic winding system that energizes a centrally located mainspring barrel on the dial side of the watch. It features a 50-hour power reserve and a balance that beats at 3 Hz.

Modern standards as well as historic traditions are well represented in this watch.

The movement is the Breguet Calibre 5055R1. One of the nice features of this watch is the amagnetic hairspring and the heritage correct overcoil for concentric beating in any position.
