Are there risks associated with Balloon Sinuplasty?

Dr. Gergits was an early pioneer of the procedure because there is very MINIMAL risk to the nasal cavity or to the structure surrounding the nose and the sinuses.

The Balloon Sinuplasty procedure is performed in our office and our patient receives mild sedation and local anesthesia.

Oftentimes, the patient will experience no discomfort whatsoever.
The things that may occur may be a trickle of bleeding afterwards but that is very rare because we aren’t doing any cutting.

In 95% of Dr. Gergits’ patients, they have the same wide opening 8 years later after the procedure was first performed.

The outcome is the same for patients who have traditional sinus surgery but EASIER RECOVERY and easier on the patient because there is NO GENERAL ANESTHESIA, it’s COST EFFECTIVE.

Our patients can breathe better but also notice that their chronic head and facial pain goes away, congestion improves, and the frequency of sinus infections drops significantly. Their quality of sleep improves as well.
