Academic Leisure - Weekend vlog - Nietzsche & Plato! - PA -

Hello! I began PA (Peterson Academy) and I decided to take the courses on Nietzsche and Plato. Dr. James Orr recommend that students start with the 'Apology' for Plato, and JBP recommend 'Beyond Good and Evil'. I'm still in the middle of those two courses, so I don't have a complete opinion to give yet, but so far so good. Especially the one on Plato I would say is very, very impressive!

My only one, big, critique (okay, I might have more than one) is the set design of PA. Ew! Why would you want to record, let alone watch, an academic lecture in a clean room! Willy Wonka is jealous! At times the camera angles make the professors look shrunken. It's unfortunate because many of the professors have white skin and white hair (older gentleman) and so they get massively washed out. It makes me sad :( I may not be a set designer, but it's one of those things where you'll know when you see it, if it works or doesn't. Also, the all white set is blinding AF at night, even with my brightness all the way down. I can't watch the lectures at night for that reason, or I have to wear sunglasses. LoL! And my eyes are perfectly fine... It all just comes off as a really badly produced podcast. Which I hate to say, but it's true. IMO!

Oh, and now I know why audiences are never recorded! hahahahahahah. Oof. I can't believe I have to stare at that for every. single. lecture. They look so stiff and uncomfortable! The men are bumping shoulders because they are sitting so close together. I feel tense looking at them. I catch myself looking, why?, I don't know... but I do. Am I looking for expressions? Are they paying attention? Are they taking notes? Do I like her hair? Do I hate his hair? Very distracting!

Other than that, the information seems good. Haha...
