In this buyer's guide, we have Honda Civic 8th Gen (2012) and Honda Civic 9th Gen (2013) in Pakistan with us. We will be taking a deep look at their interior, exterior, performance and practicality.

Honda Civic 8th Gen was launched in 2006 and it was soon named Honda Civic Reborn. The name Reborn was given due to it’s futuristic interior and exterior, topped with a potent 1.8L i-VTEC (R18) engine. Honda Civic 8th gen remained in production for about 6 years, until it was replaced by the newer Honda Civic, 9th gen in 2012.

9th gen Civic was evolved from the 8th gen, which was instantly evident from it’s exterior and interior changes. Both cars have a lot of similarities, however, 9th gen Civic had some new features like LCD i-MID display, cruise control and Android based touch screen infotainment system.

Honda Civic 8th gen was the benchmark of performance in the Pakistani automotive industry. It’s i-VTEC 1.8 engine produced 140HP and 174 NM of Torque. Both generations of Honda Civic 1.8 were offered in 4 variants i.e. Hard-top Honda Civic with manual transmission, Hard-top Honda Civic with Prosmatec transmission. Honda Civic Oriel with manual transmission and Honda Civic Oriel with Prosmatec transmission.
