Changing the battery on a Spyder is an ordeal no matter which way you choose to do it, the manufacturers recommended way or my shortcut. My shortcut might shave off a few hours though.

There's always the risk of scratching your bike or breaking something when you work on it so this is one of the reasons to consider taking this shortcut because there is no need to remove plastic fairings which would otherwise increase the risk of damaging a body part.

Be sure to buy a quality battery. If your battery goes dead and you try to use the stator to charge it then it will most likely burn out your stator and believe me, changing out your stator is not a fun job.
