How To Put Your Hockey Goalkeeping Kit On - What Order You Put Your Field Hockey Goalie Kit On?

For new and old players, this video shows the order I put my goalkeeping kit on, when getting ready for training or matches. Field Hockey goalkeepers have so much kit to put on, it can be quite daunting when starting out as a keeper. This is the order I put it on but maybe you have a different opinion, if so leave a comment below.

I'm pay for my own kit and my kitbag is full of different brands including Obo, Grays, Mercian, Malik and Kookaburra. When I first started playing in goal I used kit form various sources and over the years I have upgraded various bits. Field hockey goalkeeping kit can easily cost in excess of £1000 so, don't be afraid of mixing and matching until you are sure you love playing in goal.

I also play cricket and at the start of every cricket season, when going out to bat, I feel as if i've missed some kit off. As the protection is much less than when in goal at hockey.
