1973 Triumph TR6 w/ 41,698 original two owner miles – Award Winning
“Simply Stunning TR6”

This stunning Triumph TR6 has 41,698 original miles and has been with the second owner for the last 40 years! It was restored by the second owner in the late 90’s. It was then re-restored by the second owner again which was completed in 2018. It retains most of the original sheet metal and interior. It’s been finished in the desirable color of British Racing Green with black side stripes. It’s powered by its original 2.5L Inline 6-clyinder and 4-speed with over-drive manual transmission. It has achieved over 30 prestigious awards including the “Best of TR6” award at the BCNH show in 2018. All of these awards are included.

The second owner decided to restore this car in the late 90’s because it was starting to show its age. Prior to the restoration it was an original car with low mileage so many of the original parts and pieces were re-used during the restoration. Everything was gone through from top to bottom including the exterior, interior, engine compartment and undercarriage. The drivetrain was rebuilt as well. In 2015, the second owner decided to re-store the car cosmetically. The car was completely disassembled. The exterior and engine compartment were completely repainted. All of the parts were also cosmetically refinished. It was completed in 2018 and has only been driven a few times since completion.

The exterior appearance of this car is really special. Sometimes vehicles just speak to you visually and this is one of those vehicles. The exterior body retains most of the original sheet metal and is extremely straight. The body panels were aligned properly for great fitment. The hood, doors and deck lid close function properly. During the restoration the decision was made to change the original color of Red to British Racing Green. This is a very desirable color and fits this car like a glove. The paint job is high quality and shines beautifully. It’s a much nicer paint job then most Triumph TR6’s have. The Green paint is complemented with Black racing stripes that start on the top of the fenders and go down the side of the body. These stripes give the car a very sporty look. The stripes are decals and can be removed if desired. The black convertible top is in very nice condition and fits tightly. The original tonneau cover and top cover are included. All of the glass is original and in nice condition. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the wipers, driver side mirror, door handles, gas cap, luggage rack, front bumper, rear bumper, tail light bezels, light lenses and emblems. The car sits on the correct 15” wheels and Michelin red line 185x15 tires. There are two sets of wheel trim rings included.
The black interior is in mostly original condition and presents very nicely. The sun visors, dash, dash hardware, wood trim, gauges, steering wheel, door panels, seats, shifter, carpeting and floor mats are in great condition. The original seats were replaced with seats from a 1972 model year for comfortability. It’s equipped with a custom sound system consisting of a JVC stereo/cd player and Sony rear speakers.

The painted engine compartment is highly detailed throughout. This is a beautiful engine compartment and much nicer than most Triumph TR6’s. Everything has been restored or replaced. It’s powered by the original 2.5L Inline 6-cylinder which runs excellent. During the engine rebuild a mild cam and higher compression cylinder head was added for improved performance. It has a set of polished carburetors which were rebuilt by Paltech Technologies in 2017. A larger radiator was added for better cooling. The engine sounds sweet out the exhaust system. The exhaust muffle does have a few minor dents. The engine is coupled to the original 4-speed with over-drive manual transmission. This transmission has been gone through and operates excellent. The rear end differential was upgraded for strength. This car has proven to be very reliable and is a blast to drive.

The undercarriage is very solid and clean. During the restoration it was lighted undercoated. It wasn’t finished to show quality standards because it was going to be driven. Everything was gone through including the steering, suspension and braking components.
