The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for northeastern Wayne County until 9:30 p.m., with earlier warnings for parts of Ashland, Huron, Medina, and Richland counties since expiring.

At 7:41 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Bloomville, or 11 miles southeast of Tiffin, moving east at 45 miles per hour. It has since made its way along the Huron-Richland County line through communities like Cass and Plymouth before entering and leaving the Ashland area.

Later, at 8:43 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Polk, or nine miles northeast of Ashland, moving east at 40 mph into Creston and near Orrville. Quarter-size hail is possible.

The NWS says flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. In addition, impacted areas may see damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Also, tree damage is likely.
