Yesterday in Parliament I called on the Communities Minister to make sure South Shore’s high streets get the attention they deserve.

Bond Street, Waterloo Road and Lytham Road are the heart of South Shore but they’ve been left behind while other areas have seen investment. The £1.5 million Pride in Place Impact Fund coming to Blackpool is our chance to deliver immediate, visible improvements to the area – supporting local businesses and making South Shore somewhere residents can be proud of.

The Minister confirmed the money is coming fast and will be able to be spent where it’s most needed. I’m thrilled that she also committed to visiting South Shore herself and getting some proper fish and chips while she’s at it!
