This wine is the product of what the definition of a family owned and operated winery is.



The entire operation from growing the grapes to bottling the wine is run by Hunbert Ciacci and his family. All estate grown grapes managed by his sons Dario and Federico. Since the 1970s, this estate has been obsessed with nature, so it is no surprise that they have coordinated their grape growing with everything else they produce, including one of the great bee farms in Montalcino.


The wine itself is as classic as Brunello di Montalcino gets. There is an explosion of fruit when you first taste the wine, but as it settles in, the notes of spice and leather come through to complete the experience.



This is a great bottle of Brunello even in its youth. You can age it a couple years if you would like, but it is drinking incredibly well right now!
