Chloe the Foxhound had a fantastic time, but a challenging one, at Charleston Lake Provincial Park. The trails and access to water were extremely enjoyable for her but the almost daily, mid-day thunderstorms created a very specific hiking schedule for us. We would get up early to hit the trails and then try to be either back at the campsite or off in the truck when the storms rolled in. Chloe is quite scared of thunderstorms and even rain at times. She can sense them coming and sometimes even reacts to rain or storms in the area that never actually form where we are. This makes it particularly difficult to go on longer hikes, but we did manage to quickly hike the 11-kilometre Tallow Rock Bay trail once during our 7-day stay.
