The Carolinas are getting a small dose of fall with cool temperatures and pleasant conditions through the weekend. Weather Impact meteorologist Chris Mulcahy joins Live Impact News to look at the wonderful forecast in the Charlotte area and our next chance of rain.

Wednesday is the Pick of the Week! Highs in the lower 80s and sunshine for the afternoon. This will also be driest feeling day of the week. No problems on this perfect early-fall-like day.

Thursday and Friday:
Cloudier Thursday. Overall a mostly cloudy day.
Highs in the low 80s through Thursday, before the mid-80s on Friday.
Staying dry in the near term, Friday's rain chances are no longer isolated.
Lows falling to either side of 60 degrees each morning for the rest of the work week.
The mountains will have a couple of mornings dropping into the 40s. Even the 30s in spots like the top of Mount Mitchell.
