The IFERROR function in Excel allows you to handle errors in a formula by returning a specific value if the formula results in an error. Here are the basic steps to use the IFERROR function:

Type "=IFERROR(" into the cell where you want to use the function.
Enter the formula or expression you want to evaluate. This could be a VLOOKUP or any other formula that could return an error.
Type a comma to separate the formula from the value you want to return if the formula results in an error.
Type the value you want to return if the formula results in an error.
Type ")" to close the function.
Here is an example of using the IFERROR function in a VLOOKUP formula:

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(lookup_value, table_array, col_index_num, FALSE), "Not found")

This formula will return "Not found" if the VLOOKUP function cannot find a match.

Another way to use IFERROR with VLOOKUP is to nest the VLOOKUP formula inside the IFERROR function. Here is an example:

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(lookup_value, table_array, col_index_num, FALSE), VLOOKUP(lookup_value, backup_table, col_index_num, FALSE))

This formula will first try to perform a VLOOKUP on the first table, and if it cannot find a match, it will try to perform a VLOOKUP on a backup table. If both VLOOKUPs fail to find a match, the IFERROR function will return an error.
