Sonam Wangchuk is an Indian engineer, innovator, and education reformer who has become an inspiration not only in India but across the world. 🌍

Born on 1st September 1966 in Uley, Ladakh, Sonam Wangchuk dedicated his life to improving education, environment, and sustainable living in the Himalayan region.

He is best known as the founder of SECMOL (1988), the Ice Stupa Project (2013), and the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives (HIAL). His unique innovations like artificial glaciers have helped solve Ladakh’s water crisis.
