Welcome back to another episode of my Ant Tribe Diary!
In this video, I’ll be sharing exciting updates about my Two-Colored Shield Chest Ants—a truly fascinating species known for their unique and adorable appearance! These ants are also affectionately called "Cute Shields" by many ant enthusiasts because of their distinct and charming shape. Today marks the third day of my observation, and I’ve learned a lot from these little creatures.
What’s new? I’ve made some adjustments to the way I’m keeping my colonies. The Two-Colored Shield Chest Ants are now in a test tube setup, where they’re thriving and feeding on nutrient liquid. I’ve been able to closely observe their feeding behavior, where the worker ants gather around to eat and even share food mouth-to-mouth. It’s truly mesmerizing to watch how calm and coordinated they are.
