Dov Carpe - Yerushalayim

I was asked to give a speech to sum up an amazing 7 weeks I spent in Israel 2 years ago. This was the result... I decided to finally record it to tap into the initial inspiration as a way to help motivate myself.

The moon turns from a red shade to white

To our one and only home
But we're not alone.

We're leaving with new friendships we've made
And countless life lessons we must integrate
into our soul
Hashem's in control

Yerushalayim is our home
And though we're venturing into the unknown

Many changes have taken place
On top of this mountain we're in outer space
Above all the stars
Our destiny is ours.

When we act with righteousness and sanctity
We'll proclaim mekudash or mekudeshet li
with all Israel
Kol Yisrael.

Yerushalayim is our home
And though we're venturing into the unknown
As long as our heart stars pure we'll grow
Yerushalayim, we're coming home.

Now I know it's the end of a chapter
But we're still in the beginning of our book
So don't cry just keep dreaming of the next time
That we'll step foot onto this Holy ground

When our Father from Shamayim will be amongst us
Holding hands dancing with us through the streets
Screaming "Hashem echad u'shmo echad!"
