Facts:
The tramway system's precedessor horse-railway launched in 1880 in Debrecen. Trough 40 years the city had only one tram line (1), the line nr.2 opened in 2014. In the city there are 9 Ganz KCSV-6 trams in use, this is the last produced hungarian tram model, and only 11 trams were produced in the world from this model, every 11 ran in Debrecen, and 9 are still in use
The city:
Debrecen is the second largest city in Hungary, with a population about 200,000 inhabitants. Located in Eastern-Hungary, in Hajdú-Bihar county, not far from the romanian border. The city is often called as "the Calvinist Rome", and it's true, because Debrecen is an important city of the calvinism. The main tourist attraction is also a calvinist church, the "Big Church" (hungarian: Nagytemplom), wich is the largest protestant church in the country. Debrecen is also a student city, with the city's university (DE). Near the university is located the "Big forest" (Nagyerdő), the lungs of Debrecen. In summer there are some concerts and festivals like Campus Festival. Since 1956 in every year in august there is a "Flower Carneval" in the city. Debrecen has an international airport with some WizzAir flights to Western-Europe

A villamoshálózat elődjeként működő lóvasút 1880-ban indult el Debrecenben. 40 évig a városnak csak egyetlen villamosjárata volt, az 1-es, a 2-es vonalat 2014-ben nyitották meg. A városvban 9 Ganz KCSV-/ típusú villamos közlekedik, amely az utolsó magyar gyártású villamostípus. Összesen 11 készült belőle az egész világon, mindegyik Debrecen számára, még kilenc van használatban
