Welcome to Gossettville! | Creating a Fictional Setting | Fiction Writing Process

From Boone and Asheville, NC (and all resort towns in between) to Bentonville, Arkansas, and up and down the US East Coast, I've collected some images that provide inspiration for my fictional city of Gossettville as part of building my Story Inspiration Book.

In Week 2 of 2023, I'm moving from working on creating characters to developing the setting for the story. I've been working on a new fictional setting -- a resort/tourist city somewhere in the Smoky or Blue Ridge Mountains -- for a few years now. I've decided to use it as the main setting for "My 2023 Novel" (what I'm calling it in lieu of a real title).
