Lady Jane Grey was known as the 9 Days Queen because she reigned for 9 days after King Edward VI (Henry VIII's heir). She was chosen because of her protestant background rather than King Edward VI's sister (Blood Mary) who was the rightful heir but Catholic. She died under the hands of her older cousin Mary (Blood Mary) who overthrew her.

Lady Jane Grey was in short a pawn to her parents. She didn't want to be Queen but was so young to know any better. Her mother was Frances Grey, Mary Tudor's eldest daughter.
