These spiritual-sounding phrases might move a congregation emotionally, but as I point out, they don’t replace taking honest responsibility for what we’ve done.

I encourage every leader—myself included—to stop making excuses and start living out genuine accountability. I believe, and I say so in this video, that people will respect you more if you simply own up to your mistakes and move forward, instead of hiding behind scripture or dramatic narratives. As I always say , it’s about being real, not manipulative.
