The various year models have different common faults which means you need to know which year car you are looking at. Once you have confirmed which model you are looking at you can then be sure what you are about the purchase.
The main take away is that all years models are mostly reliable, if maintained correctly and treated well. There is some discussion that the 4.2 motor is more reliable than the 5.0, but mostly hear say.
