X4 Foundations: Testing 40 Chimera with Blast Mortars

Hello everybody,

I've gave in...and test Chimeras with non split tech, namelly Blast Mortars. :P
And before any of you go...aha, you said that you are a race tech purist, and look now what you've done, ha ha ha (insert evil laugh here)...is an one time thing and a viewer request :D

Conclusions:
like I suspected, BM are a good non ammo required alternative to torpedoes
there were some targeting issues, but nothing major. The speed of the Chimera meant less targeting of surface elements, but the dmg was deliver nonetheless
I lost one Chimera, but that was against a xenon K, and most likely just bad luck and not a shortcoming of the blast mortar
like I said, not something that I would use, because of my split tech for ships ships self imposed rule, but for those that like to mix tech, definitely a valid alternative to torpedoes. :)
