This was my first time attempting Gravel Unbound.

I am certainly not the fastest, and I am not the slowest. But I am grateful for finishing the Unbound Gravel 100 with out any mechanical issues.

The first half of the course was amazing - it was fast and I felt great getting to the one and only check point at mile 54.

The second half had a good amount of rolling hills, good amount of chunk - this is where most people were experience flat tires - and the sun broke out making it a little harder for some who weren't accustomed to or acclimatized to the warmer temps and humidity.

Physically I didn't have any issues, minus some spams and cramping in my legs at around mile 70 which came and went throughout the remainder of the rider.

Getting passed by Chad Haga and Lachlan Morton at mile 38 for the 100 mile riders / mile 130 for the 200 mile riders was definitely a highlight, as well as others from the elite 200 mile riders - they were FAST!

I met some fantastic people and had a great time - better than I had expected. It was a great event with a great turn out.

The weather cooperated - there wasn't any rain the day of the event, and the was also very little mud - this was definitely a tough event I am glad I did it and I am glad I was able to finish.

Much thanks to my local bike shop, Northwest Tri and Bike https://www.northwesttriandbike.com/ , for getting my bike set up as well as making sure I had everything I needed to finish the ride.
