The second day of Heritage Week at Imperial Heritage School, Gurugram, was a vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural legacy, filled with engaging activities for students from Nursery to Grade V.
The day began with enthusiastic participation in Heritage Quizzes across various grades, where students answered questions about India’s culture, monuments, traditions, and famous personalities. Our youngest learners in UKG lit up the classrooms with their infectious excitement during the quiz, while older students showcased quick thinking and teamwork in spirited rounds.
Creativity was at its peak in the Wall Craft activity, where students decorated elephant cutouts with stones, glitter, and googly eyes, creating beautiful wall hangings to take home. Grade I students experienced the charm of tradition through a postcard-writing activity, penning heartfelt messages to friends and learning the joy of handwritten communication.
A major highlight was the Heritage Fashion Show, where students from various grades proudly represented states such as Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Dressed in colorful traditional attire, they spoke confidently about unique fabrics, weaving techniques, and cultural traditions, fostering awareness and pride in India’s textile heritage. Grade V’s “Cultural Mural” ramp walk further enriched the celebration, with participants eloquently sharing insights into their state’s culture and history.
In the Language Lab, students explored the beauty of diverse tongues spoken at home, presenting Hindi and Sanskrit proverbs, greetings, and meaningful words from various languages.
The day concluded with a sense of pride and joy, as every activity deepened students’ appreciation for India’s diversity, traditions, and heritage—truly making it a memorable chapter in their learning journey.
