After 36 years with the Carmel Fire Department, Captain John F Moriarty retired on 1-11-2018. John last served as the house captain of station 44 located at 5032 E Main on B crew. Captain Moriarty served as Carmel's sole "Sparky" fire dog for the last 35 years. John will continue to work with the department in a civilian role heading up the community outreach program as well as a part of public education, public information, department mentoring, and CFD history.
