Kryptonite Is Made From Hippos

** TODAY'S PUZZLE **
Continuing our series this week of sudokus with shorter rulesets, Simon tackles glum_hippo's Arvada. This might be an occasion on which Simon's brain has failed him alas - despite the simple rules - this puzzle seemed really quite difficult!! One thing that isn't in doubt is that it's also very clever - although Simon never wants to see beachcomber rules again :)

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. Cells separated by an X contain digits summing to 10. 'Beachcomber' rules apply ie A digit N in a circle means that a total of N digits smaller than N are visible in all orthogonal directions from the circle (ie looking North, South, East & West). Digits larger than N block the view.
