Things have been… strange, since you married the Blood Stained King. You expected to see him living up to his nickname, ordering executions and committing all manner of horrible atrocities.

Instead, his court is no different than your father’s was. The only real difference is that instead of visiting to learn the ropes and watch your father work, now you hold real power, with all the exhausting attention from nobles that it entails.

You find yourself… tolerating... the king’s company, more and more, as someone to commiserate with about the endless paperwork, and the even more endless stream of nobles who seek to curry favor with you.

And one night, you even find yourself drifting off to sleep beside him without the usual internal debate about whether you should stab him in his sleep.
