Thank you so much for choosing to watch another one of my nursing videos! Today's video is a lengthy one, hahaha! But that's okay cause I'm spilling all the tea about my nurse externship experience. It taught me a lot about myself and what I want from my nursing career. I signed on to be a nurse extern in LDRP but I went to observation, telemetry, medsurg, emergency department, and ICU! I learned so much on each individual unit and am honestly grateful for my nurse externship experience. I forgot to add that I did a nurse externship in place of a traditional clinical preceptorship. Due to the 'Ron a lot of things changed to the clinical aspect of nursing school, and when the opportunity presented itself I figured, WHY NOT?!? As I fill you in on my experience, I'll also answer all of your questions that you sent in such as how to get an externship, how much did we get paid, and any potential job offers I've gotten from doing a nurse externship!
