Very fast tutorial on How to start a Dwarf White Isopod culture

Supplies
Sterilite Plastic Shoe box
Distilled water mister

Substrate Materials
Peat Moss
Fine Orchid Bark
Sphagnum Moss
Horticultural Charcoal
Sterilized Leaf Litter

Substrate Toppers
Cork bark section
Additional sterilized leaf litter

Culture & Food
starter culture of isopods
food for the isopods (Fruit, veg, isopod specialty foods, etc)

Step by step process
Add substrate ingredients into shoebox
Mix well
Lightly moisten with distilled water
Mix again to distribute moisture
Add substrate toppers
Add starter culture isopods
Add a little food

Note:
I don't measure substrate ingredients, it's all by eye. I use about 2 parts peat to 1 part bark, a couple handfulls of charcoal and leaves, a handfull of sphagnum. The shoebox ends up being about 1/2 full with everything in it.

Warning:
Do not keep culture too wet. It should be humid and lightly moist.
