[2] The text shown on screen throughout the video is "Beauty Culture" by William Woodbury, written in 1911. The exact same recipe is also given in the 1905 publication "The Secrets of Specialists (Alfred Dale Covey, https://play.google.com/store/books/d...) We primarily used the former for the recipe as the measurement units and quantities given for the ingredients are easier to convert to modern units of measure, but the recipe itself has been around since at least 1905.
