Worth the hike? Mount Maunganui - Tauranga

In this video we explore a little of Tauranga, we drove past it and decided to do a trek to the famous Mount Maunganui. Mount Maunganui is a laid-back suburb known for the extinct Mount Maunganui volcano, a sacred Maori site with ocean-view hiking trails. We got ourselves our first fish and chips in New Zealand on a beautiful sunny day and had lunch by the beach, it was still too cold for us to swim but there was a couple of people swimming already at this time of the year (October). We didn't spend much time in Tauranga but the little we saw was really nice and we will be back.
