Hey everybody here's a battle between me and my friend Kickaholic24. We've been learning a lot about rotation battles lately and wanted to see who would win in a best-2-out-of-3 challenge. These matches will show off some of the strategies we came up with.

Standard Battle/Full dream world allowed - Released and unreleased

I wanted use this round to test out set-up and supportive moves this round and it seems Kickaholic did the same.
I mixed Raikou and gave it Charge Beam to increase its attacks and Bulldoze to slow down opponents who may out speed me later. Though it back fired a bit on me when Bisharp came to the field - with Competitive Spirit (now known as Defiant), stats changes I make to also come with a +2 attack increase. Combined with Sucker Punch, Bisharp becomes a major threat to anyone

We both ended up bringing dragons. I brought a mixed Hone Claws Salamence to gain near perfect Fire Blasts, but Altaria easily had the upperhand this mach. It's a duel increase Altaria that takes advantage of both Cotton Guard and Dragon Dance in the same set. It's pretty fearsome to deal with and if you get the right opportunity to use it, I could see it being one of the best physical walls this gen.

I'll end off by saying I hope Smogon develops a rule for the use of Perish Song in rotations. Once each person is down to their last three pokemon it can be very difficult to protect yourself from being trapped and stalled by it if you're unprepared to handle it. Though I can't complain, I am the one who brought it.


Thanks for all the views everyone - I was not expecting to hit 2500+ in that first video as quickly as it did so it was a nice surprise to see.
