Dr. Melissa Womble, a fellowship-trained neuropsychologist specialized in sport concussion management. Dr. Womble serves as Director of the Inova Sports Medicine Concussion Program and Co-Director of the Inova Concussion Program. Dr. Womble and her team built the Inova Sports Medicine Concussion Program to provide multidisciplinary individualized care to patients who have sustained a concussion in the Northern Virginia area. She has authored or coauthored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and delivered more than 60 professional presentations on sport-related concussion at National and International conferences. Dr. Womble will discuss common causes, symptoms, management techniques and treatment options for concussion.
