This meme- and animation-driven film explores our manic, addictive, screen-driven, current culture, and takes us from gaming to retail trading, Reddit, Wall Street, political unrest, racism, and the meteoric rise and fall of Bitcoin. The web that Timoner weaves is both gripping and horrifying, and the ominous predictions for the future expressed by the film’s featured subjects–including tech founders, college dropouts-turned-millionaire investors, and hedge-fund scions–stay with viewers long after the closing credits. – Sabina Barach
