Sega Dreamcast AliExpress GDEMU Installation - How To - Retfurb Vintage Gaming

In this video we show the process involved for fitting the GD-EMU V5.20 modification to the Sega Dreamcast console.
This is the full kit which includes the remote location for the SD card slot, So that it is easily accessible when opening the Dreamcast disc tray flap.
It includes all hardware for this modification to fit on the original Dreamcast model.

The kit was recently purchased from Ali Express (October 2023), We show what it includes and the issues with the fitting manual.

We do not show the process involved for installing any software, But the link for the GD-Menu download is below.


Sega released the Dreamcast to the Japanese market in 1998 and then to Europe in 1999. The unit we are working on today is a PAL European model.

I will also be doing further refurbs to this console in the future. This includes cleaning the console, removing the yellowing occurred from UV damage and replacing the internal capacitors.
