Magnus Carlsen IN TOTAL MELTDOWN As Alexander Grischuk Invents NEW CHESS OPENING! (Let’s Go Magnus!)

Описание к видео Magnus Carlsen IN TOTAL MELTDOWN As Alexander Grischuk Invents NEW CHESS OPENING! (Let’s Go Magnus!)

Magnus Carlsen was in total meltdown as Alexander Grischuk invented a new chess opening at the 2015 London Classic. And no, this is not clickbait - the new opening employed by Alexander Grischuk left Magnus Carlsen literally shaking over the board - it was that shocking!

In the game Magnus Carlsen opened 1.Nf3 but the game soon transposed back to a Sicilian Defense after the moves 1…c5 2.e4. From there Magnus went for the Moscow variation with a very fast Bb5+, while Alexander Grischuk continued developing with …Nd7, …a6, …Nf6, and eventually …b5 instead of immediately developing his kingside. From there Magnus Carlsen counterattacked on the queenside with a fast c2-c4, putting pressure on Alexander Grischuk’s weak pawn on b5, and this is where Alexander busted out his new opening idea!

After Grischuk’s new opening the entire chess board erupted into absolute chaos as both players (Magnus and Alexander) were basically attacking on all sides of the board in a truly chaotic position. And while I don’t want to give away how the game ended, let’s just say the finish was as spectacular as Alexander Grischuk’s new opening idea on move 7!
