From the RCWRT's documentary, "The Civil War in North Carolina: The Final Campaigns, 1865." One film in a series. Originally released on DVD for the 150th anniversary of the Civil War to generate donations that helped conserve the 30th NC's state flag for display at the NC Museum of History in Raleigh. Filmed on-site during the sesquicentennial events in 2015.

At the time, Chris E. Fonvielle Jr. was a history professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Chris also has authored a number of books on the Civil War, including "The Wilmington Campaign: Last Rays of Departing Hope," "Faces of Fort Fisher, 1861-1864," "To Forge a Thunderbolt: Fort Anderson and the Battle for Wilmington," and "Glory at Wilmington: The Battle of Forks Road."

Narration by Ted Kunstling, former president of the RCWRT. Music by the Liberty Hall Drum & Fife Corps.
