San Juanico Bridge. Conquering the 2.16-KM Bridge on Foot. Byaheng Tacloban Part 2

I was only 11 years old when the San Juanico Bridge was opened by then President Ferdinand Marcos as a gift to his wife, former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos, who hailed from Leyte.
I saw the footage from our B&W TV and I saw how beautiful the bridge was then. It was the longest bridge in the Philippines, and I wondered what it' would be like to see the bridge in person.
Fast forward 51 years later. I was recently in Eastern Visayas to explore the region. Yes, I still want to see the San Juanico Bridge, although I have seen it a couple of times of already. What I really wanted to do was to cross the bridge on foot, but I wasn't sure that I can still do it at age 62.
So, what I did was that I went to Tacloban North Terminal, boarded a jeepney bound for Basey, and asked the driver to drop me off at the foot of the bridge.
What followed later was something I wasn't expecting I can still do. Forty-five minutes after I started my conquest, I finally did crossing the 2.16KM San Juanico Bridge on foot!
