Answers to prayer are not the result of our own effort or striving, but fervent prayer shapes us and prepares us to steward well the breakthroughs when they come. Some breakthroughs will not be released without passionate prayer. The Apostle Paul likens prayer unto labor in Galatians 4. Perhaps the pain we experience in prayer is evidence of the promises that God wants to birth in the earth. We can’t afford to let the absence of an answer to prayer discourage us, we must let it drive us deeper into prayer to co-labor with God and see His purposes fulfilled in and through our lives.
