The Ehx Hell Melter is pretty clearly there take on a Boss HM-2w

i say waza over standard due to it have the burn mode to give a second sound.

this thing sounds great i love the HM-2 on bass and this has everything you might want to add to you standard boss pedal, a gate, boost, and dry signal ( for us bassist)
