In the Colorado Springs, CO real estate market we do not have very many homes built in 1898. Very few. Our city was tiny at that time. William Jackson Palmer (General Palmer) establish our city in 1871. There were probably a few cabins and homes at that time, but they were very basic and spread out. Once the city became official, they could start planning the community. They planned streets and lots for people to purchase. It took a while to get off the ground, but this home is one of the homes built in the very beginning.

Now this home was not this size at that time. I can tell that this home has had 4-5 additions over the course of 120 years. It was a tiny little box in the beginning. There have been many families that have owned this home throughout its history. There were no bathrooms at the time, and there was probably a barn and outhouse at one time. Crazy stuff to think about.

Now, every square inch is rehabbed and beautiful. Ready for the modern age of mankind. So cool....so historic...one lucky family will own this for years to come.
