How to Get Even Sharper Knives with a Leather Strop!

Premium sharpness awaits. Here’s how to achieve it.

1. Place your knife on the cowhide leather strop, matching your original sharpening angle.

2. Moving from heel to tip, slowly draw your knife in an upward (left to right) motion. Try to maintain the angle during the movement.

3. Flip your knife over. Repeat the same motion from the top of the strop, moving downward in the heel to tip movement.

4. Repeat the entire process, stropping up and down, until you’ve completed 6-7 passes on each side.

Remember to strop your knife after each sharpening. On average, this means once every 1-2 months.
