September is racing by and, after some recent very wet weather, last week warmed up - lovely fresh mornings and warm sunshine - so Saturday morning saw me ready to visit the river again. I decided to start on a nymph hoping that the temperature would have warmed up by the time I got to Vale End and I could then switch to a dry fly. Well, the sun played its part but the fish hadn't read the script. No fish rising and I could tempt them with a number of different dries. Back at Weston's I stayed with the nymph,......
