In today's episode of Newshour Agenda with Madhavdas G, we discuss the row that escalated after Hyderabad BJP candidate Madhavi Latha checked voter IDs of Muslim women. The BJP's firebrand leader reached polling station in her constituency and was seen checking the voter IDs of Muslim women who were seen wearing burqas. She was seen removing the face cover for verification alleging discrepancies in the voter list. She alleged that the names of several voters were deleted.
We are joined by several panelists to discuss the issue. "Madhavi Latha is lying blatantly that it is her right to check the identity of the voters. No! It is not her right," said Dr. Shoaib Jamai.
