Cycling the Drauradweg in Karinthië - Austria Part 3 Spittal - Villach

Описание к видео Cycling the Drauradweg in Karinthië - Austria Part 3 Spittal - Villach

Part 3 of out bicycletour at the Drauradweg - from Spittal to Villach.
The Drauradweg is a cycling route of 510 km along the river Drau, from Toblach in Italy, through Austria to Varazdin in Croatia. We cycled 4 parts of the Drau Rad Weg downstream.
Today we travel with our bicycles on the train from Villach (where we parked our car) to Spittal. From there we cycle back to Villach.
In Spittal an der Drau is the renaissance castle Porcia that was built in the 16th century. Inside the castle is a folk culture museum we visited the day before. We came along a big plant that wins Gummern marble out of the guarry, to be used in building blocks and calcium carbonate products.
At the end of the video you see some nice things we saw in Villach like the waterfountains in the Drau River, a very small car museum and a citrusgarden in Faak am See, close to Villach. They grow almost 300 varietes of lemons.
We did this tour (47 kms) from Spittal to Villach in 5:30 hours, incl. breaks. We ride on normal (bio)bikes. Sometimes we had to walk and push our bikes uphill. But most of time we cycled downhill. Check the Relive at the end of the video for this route!

Hope you like my video, then give it a thumbs up. Thanks!
