What is Going on With the Grubfather in Hollow Knight?

Ok, now that SPOILER ALERT is out of the way...


When you save all the grubs the Grubfather EATS all of the grubs... but why?!
I have about 5 different theories.

Turns out none of these theories are all that good. Well maybe one of them is ok. I don't think I will be doing too many more lore videos. Turns out I have NO IDEA as to what is going on in this game.
